What is: Power Trading?
Hello all,
I recently stumbled upon this topic. However, I cannot find any guides or anyone speaking about it. I suppose it's just merchanting goods, but I would like to know the best ways, or if there is a short summary someone can explain. I'm looking to make money because I don't have very many good 'money making' techniques. I would also like to know if starting off with 90k+ would be a good idea. Thanks! |

Power trading is basically sitting in one of the trade outposts (Kamadan, LA, etc) and buying items for low prices and then selling them for higher prices. 90k is a good price to start out with. Just try opressor or destroyer weapons.

**Kamdan**
Bob The Warrior: WTS torment shield Str 15e Cheap!! PST **Lion's Arch** Sam the Sin: WTB Torment Shiled ANY req 20e PM me Buy from bob and sell to Sam. you just make 5e or 40k (ecots at 8k) OR same example... buy it cheap and a few mins/hours later someone will come looking for one and pay a bit more. or buy dye cheap on the weekdays and sell higher or the weekend. BUT both take time. I rather be playing in both situation. @Star_Jewel you are right. i forgot that. i was just using the Torment shield as an example. i was going to say feather or dust (any cons) because it's easier to watch over weapon but the profit is slower over weapons. All in All it's the same BASIC idea. and Yes Watch scammer. Last edited by chessyang; Mar 03, 2011 at 03:26 PM // 15:26.. |

That is what it really is. Find the players that want the cash now, and then take the time to wait and sell it for top dollar.
You can get very wealthy doing it, but it consumes a ton of time. |

Like stated above, power trader is buying for cheap, selling for more.
For example-I used to buy ectos for 12=98k and then try to buy for 13=100k. |

You have to keep tabs on current price ranges. Staying on top of this forum's trade section, the GW auction sites, this site, along with the in-game trade scene, can be very helpful. |

Or, you can just get lucky sometimes. Arm yourself with pricing knowledge on a few highend items & look for opportunities to buy on the cheap. Dhuum Scythe & Obby Sword pricing, tends to fluctuate a lot, so maybe keep an eye on them. I once brought a Q9 Obby Sword for 29e & resold for 70e, it was nothing but luck, he was advertising "WTS Obby Edge - FAST" and i sent a PM saying "I offer 25e". I didn't even expect a responce, but he sold it to me straight away!
Whats the worst that can happen, you get called a noob? Good Luck with your trading |
